Back from a weekend of wild swimming in mountain lakes and general hiking about. After getting off the mountain dirt road the earth is bog and covered in rushes and ferns. Hidden under the rushes are bog holes that you can stink into up to your waste, which has happened me in the past. At one point on the way back down from the mountains a fox jumped out from the rushes. Then stopped turned around almost gave a smile and then off they went. Amazing to see a fox so close up. The mountain slopes are very barren but to use an overused word ‘epic’.

Wow these pictures are beautiful!! Where is this though?
